As a Front Desk Officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will be the first point of contact for employees and guests, supporting a smooth arrival experience. You will help manage access, greet and direct visitors, and communicate clearly with site teams while documenting security-related activity. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures for a tech, media, and/or telecom location.
  • Greet and screen visitors, issue temporary credentials as directed, manage the visitor log, and notify employees of guest arrivals.
  • Control access through the main lobby by verifying identification, directing authorized personnel to the correct areas, and escalating access concerns per procedure.
  • Monitor lobby activity and security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and/or access control panels, and report unusual activity through the established chain of communication.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
