Requirements

A valid guard card or license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the healthcare location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Follow site-specific policies and procedures to provide customer service and support security-related functions within the healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations within the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence.
Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or unusual circumstances according to established protocols.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and patients while upholding the standards of Allied Universal and the client site.
Assist with crowd control and manage visitor flow during peak hours or special events as needed.
