As an Allied Universal Security Professional in an access control role within a healthcare location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the healthcare location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures to provide customer service and support security-related functions within the healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or unusual circumstances according to established protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and patients while upholding the standards of Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Assist with crowd control and manage visitor flow during peak hours or special events as needed.
