About The Position

As a Security Guard - Government Unarmed Patrols in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal guidelines and site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control, monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to maintain a positive environment at the location.
Complete required documentation and incident reports as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
