As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue visitor badges, and document deliveries and contractor access while maintaining clear, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, identification checks, and visitor management requirements.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit at gates and/or access points, including verifying credentials, issuing badges, and directing authorized traffic within a chemical processing location.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as required by post orders.
  • Maintain detailed security-related documentation such as visitor logs, contractor sign-in records, delivery checks, and incident reports using manual and/or electronic systems.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
