As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to resident needs with clear communication and outstanding customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of community streets, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance and quality-of-life concerns.
- Monitor and document access points and visitor activity as directed by post orders, including observing for unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
- Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with property staff and/or public responders as needed.
- Complete detailed reports of patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate updates promptly to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
