About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol in Tar Heel, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your visible presence and commitment to outstanding customer service will help create a secure environment for all. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and engaging in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter, helping to deter unwanted activity and observing for any unusual conditions.
Monitor for unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, and/or hazards within the food and beverage production environment.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations during patrols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and authorizations as needed.
Support site-specific protocols and procedures related to the unique needs of a food and beverage production location.
