Job Description As a Security Guard - Entry Control Driver in Sulphur, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and/or petrochemical location, where you will help manage entry and exit, verify credentials, screen visitors, and document activity with clear communication and customer service. You will also conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state. Requirements

1+ Years' Law Enforcement Experience OR 2+ Years' Security Supervisor/Manager Experience OR 3+ Years' Security Experience
Valid Driver's License ‐ In Job State
A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Applicants must have 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical processing location.
Control entry and exit at designated gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, authorizations, and appointments; issue and track visitor credentials and maintain required logs.
Screen and/or inspect vehicles, deliveries, and packages as permitted by post orders, documenting irregularities and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, assisting with area control, and coordinating with on-site personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access control areas, nearby buildings, and perimeter points as assigned, monitoring for conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
