As a Security Guard - Front Desk - Weekdays in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk professional with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will greet visitors, verify access, manage badges and visitor logs, and monitor cameras and alarms to help identify security-related concerns early. You will communicate clearly with staff and respond to incidents with calm professionalism, supporting a welcoming experience built on integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • 4+ Year Military or Law Enforcement Experience or Criminal Justice Degree is required.
  • DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR Police Academy Certificate OR Corrections Academy Certificate is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors at the front desk by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies.
  • Greet and screen visitors, issue temporary badges, and maintain visitor logs while coordinating arrivals with the appropriate departments.
  • Monitor lobby activity and front entry points, report irregular activity, and help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating site emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Receive and route calls, messages, and deliveries, and complete required reports and documentation in accordance with Allied Universal standards.
