Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will support tenants, visitors, and property teams with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Requirements

• Have a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and security-related protocols, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the commercial property, including lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, loading and delivery areas, and perimeter points, documenting observations per post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and service requests in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with property management and/or local responders as needed.
• Monitor and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and potential policy violations, completing clear written reports and maintaining accurate activity logs.
• Assist with traffic and pedestrian flow during peak periods and special activities, providing directions and helping to maintain orderly movement within the location.
