As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet tenants and visitors, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate clearly with site teams while documenting observations. Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, property policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the commercial property, including common areas, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and building perimeter; report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and help manage authorized entry by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes when required, and directing guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, fire and/or intrusion alarms, and requests for assistance; escalate to onsite management and/or public services as needed.
• Complete timely documentation of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate key information during shift turnover.
