As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by conducting screening activities such as access control and package screening, supporting security-related inspections, and communicating clearly with team members and site personnel. You will remain visible, perform routine patrols of assigned areas, and deliver customer-focused service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, contractors and visitors at entry points by verifying credentials, following access authorization lists and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Conduct package, bag and/or vehicle screening using approved methods and screening equipment, following posted instructions and site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, loading areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
