As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the utilities location.
Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the site.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the utilities environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Document and report any unusual occurrences, security-related incidents, or policy violations as observed during assigned shifts.
Assist visitors, contractors, and employees with inquiries related to access control and site procedures.
Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support the security-related objectives of the location.
