As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist staff and visitors with clear, professional communication. You will conduct routine rounds, observe and report unusual activity, support access points as needed, and complete detailed documentation. Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government administrative location by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or public resources when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
• Monitor access points and common areas, observe for unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations through a visible presence.
• Complete required security-related reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate pertinent information to the appropriate contacts.
