Job Description Now Interviewing for Part Time Security Officers! Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved. Position Type: Flex Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
Have customer service experience, preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and/or post orders within a government location, including participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting public resources and/or site leadership as required.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and controlled areas by observing activity, verifying authorization when directed, and directing visitors to appropriate destinations in accordance with site policies.
Document patrols, observations, and incidents in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff and/or to site contacts.
