Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Primarily driving post is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment within the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
Communicate clearly with staff, students, and visitors to address questions or concerns related to security-related matters.
Complete detailed incident and daily activity reports as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary, following established protocols.
Participate in ongoing training and site-specific drills to stay prepared for various situations that may arise in an education environment.
