As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support guests and store teams with clear communication. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and promote a welcoming environment while living Allied Universal values of being agile, reliable, and innovative, putting people first, delivering through teamwork, and acting with integrity.
Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests and team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical situations, and policy concerns, and report details per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, receiving areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter theft, damage, and other unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, and communicate concerns to store management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Complete routine reports and documentation, including shift activity logs and incident reports, and assist with investigations as directed.
