Join Allied Universal at a healthcare location as an unarmed patrol officer, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help maintain a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will complete routine rounds, stay highly visible, respond to calls for assistance, and document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet. Bring strong communication and customer service while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to the appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, including corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and public areas for suspicious behavior, assist with directing visitors, and support staff with de-escalation and crowd management when needed.
• Complete accurate shift documentation, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff and/or per post orders.
