As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols across buildings, grounds, and event areas, maintaining a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will also operate a patrol vehicle per policy while responding to calls for service, assisting visitors, and documenting observations. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols, including supporting emergency response activities when directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of grounds, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and assist with crowd flow during events, deliveries, and peak arrival and departure periods.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and/or local public agencies when needed.
  • Complete reports and activity logs, communicate observations through radio and/or phone, and document incidents according to post orders and government location requirements.
