As a Screener in a logistics and distribution environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible. You will also interact with visitors and staff, providing excellent customer service and clear communication. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
X Ray screening experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the logistics and distribution location.
Screen individuals, packages, and/or materials entering or leaving the premises to help to deter prohibited items from entering the facility.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Communicate clearly with team members, visitors, and staff to relay important information and maintain a professional presence.
Document and report any unusual activity, incidents, or security-related concerns according to site procedures.
Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including following evacuation or lockdown procedures as directed by site management or Allied Universal.
