As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, professional communication. You will support staff, patients, and visitors, help to deter incidents, and document observations while collaborating with onsite teams. Requirements

• Vaccines are required for this hospital site.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff at a healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, observing for unusual activity and/or hazards and reporting concerns per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with nursing leadership and/or local emergency services as needed.
• Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying authorization when required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in areas and/or destinations.
• Complete required reports and documentation such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and patrol observations, and communicate relevant updates during shift transitions.
