As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols across campus spaces, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm professionalism. You will document observations, communicate clearly with students, staff, and visitors, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, students, faculty, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate campus resources and/or public services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by post assignment.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
• Complete routine checks of doors, gates, lighting, and security-related equipment and document patrols, incidents, and/or observations in required reports and logs.
