As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government airport location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to reports with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have an armed guard card and/or license, preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government aviation location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of terminals, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter zones; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or authorization, and help to deter unauthorized entry or prohibited activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with onsite representatives and public agency partners as needed.
  • Complete written reports and maintain required logs regarding patrol activity, incidents, and observed hazards or maintenance concerns.
