You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms and calls for service, and document observations with clear reports. You will collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement partners, communicate professionally with the public, and deliver service with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Patrol assigned areas and perimeter on foot and/or by vehicle as required, helping to deter unauthorized activity and reporting irregular conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and/or local public resources as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of readiness for an armed post by following applicable post orders, use-of-force guidelines, and required documentation practices.
  • Complete detailed written reports and logs, monitor cameras and/or access points when assigned, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
