Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and patrol designated areas within a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Assist with the implementation of security-related procedures tailored to chemical and petrochemical environments, maintaining awareness of potential hazards.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for emergency response.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter, observing for unusual activity or unauthorized access.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents or irregularities to Allied Universal management and client representatives as required.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals with directions, information, and site policies while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff in the event of drills, evacuations, or other emergency activities specific to chemical and petrochemical operations.
