As a Security Guard - Factory Patrol Driver in New Bern, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while staying visible and approachable. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and communication while upholding Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first culture.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency responders as needed.
- Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports and logs as required by Allied Universal and site management.
- Support access control procedures by verifying credentials and helping to manage entry and exit points at the location.
- Remain alert and attentive to surroundings to help to deter potential security-related risks or hazards within the manufacturing and industrial environment.
