About The Position

As a Security Guard - Education Patrol Driver in Newberry, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational location, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, offer exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with all individuals on site. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, collaborating with school personnel and emergency responders as needed.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on all security-related incidents, observations, and/or interactions during each shift.
  • Maintain a visible Allied Universal presence to help to deter potential disturbances and promote a secure environment within the educational setting.
