Security Guard - Driver Patrol Roundsman
About The Position
As a Security Guard - Driver Patrol Roundsman in Spring Valley, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will support operations with integrity while working on a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first.
Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Have customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of utility property including buildings, parking areas, access roads, gates, fenced perimeters, and/or equipment yards to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify irregular conditions.
- Monitor access control points and perform security-related screening such as verifying identification, controlling vehicle and pedestrian entry, and directing visitors to the proper location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with site notifications, documenting observations, and supporting arriving responders as directed by site procedures.
- Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate security-related information to supervision and site contacts, and report maintenance concerns such as lighting outages, damaged fencing, and/or unsecured doors.
