About The Position

As a Security Guard - Credential Check Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will manage access control, verify credentials, issue badges, and support orderly site entry for employees, contractors, and visitors. You will complete routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and deliver professional customer service through clear communication and accurate reporting. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license in the job state is required.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • 1+ Years' Law Enforcement Experience OR 2+ Years' Security Supervisor/Manager Experience OR 3+ Years' Security Experience.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer Service Experience - preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Operate access control posts including gatehouse entry points by verifying identification, issuing and/or validating badges and passes, managing visitor check-in and check-out, and maintaining required logs and reports.
  • Control vehicle and delivery access by confirming authorizations, directing traffic flow, checking documentation, and coordinating with site contacts for restricted-area entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and supporting on-site response teams as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process-area perimeters, and surrounding grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards and equipment issues for reporting.
