Requirements
- A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols inside the commercial real estate property and along the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Observe and report any unusual activities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel in accordance with Allied Universal's guidelines.
- Assist with access control, visitor management, and monitoring of entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
- Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations or other protocols as directed by site management or Allied Universal leadership.
- Maintain accurate and timely logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site policies.
