About The Position

As a Security Guard - Commercial Daytime Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor flows, communicate clearly with tenants and property teams, and deliver a strong customer service experience. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and the property perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious activity, and tenant and/or visitor concerns, and notify management and/or public responders as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor access points and building activity as assigned, assist with directing visitors and service providers, and help to maintain orderly movement through lobbies, garages, and other common areas.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
