As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will assist staff, patients, and visitors with professionalism, clear communication, and access support. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical-related calls for assistance, disruptive behavior, and/or facility alarms, and coordinate with site personnel and first responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of corridors, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, watching for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Control access points by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and monitoring entry and exit activity in accordance with site policies and post orders.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and logs, and communicate security-related information to supervisors and site representatives in a timely manner.
