About The Position

As a Security Guard - Campus Patrol - Weekdays in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned education locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, students, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding as appropriate to incidents and emergencies within educational locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions and communicating with appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents, following Allied Universal protocols and client site requirements.
• Support access control measures by monitoring entrances, exits, and visitor movement within the premises as assigned.
• Assist with emergency response activities and support evacuation procedures when needed, following established guidelines.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and provide reassurance to students, staff, and visitors.
• Work collaboratively with school personnel and law enforcement when required, maintaining professionalism at all times.
