About The Position

As a Security Guard - Building Patrol Unarmed in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a commercial real estate location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to assist with maintaining order at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor the location for unusual activities, reporting any security-related incidents or hazards as per Allied Universal protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with visitors, tenants, and/or employees to provide assistance and information as needed.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and local authorities when required to address security-related situations.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and/or other activities as required by site-specific procedures.
