About The Position

The Security Guard at Acacia Network is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel and property within the facility. This role involves enforcing rules and regulations, maintaining order, and providing a secure environment for residents and staff. The position requires a high level of vigilance and professionalism, with duties performed across three shifts throughout the week.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• CPR / First Aid Certification (can be provided within 60 days post start date).
• NYS Security Guard License required.
• F-02 certification (can be provided within 90 days post start date).
• Understanding of low-income and homeless individuals and their specific needs.
• Knowledge of crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution techniques is preferred.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and submit required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Basic computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide protection of personnel and property.
• Ensure the safety of residential occupants and support staff.
• Enforce rules and regulations courteously and respectfully.
• Patrol the interior and exterior of the buildings to maintain order and prevent loitering.
• Safeguard life and property against fire, vandalism, theft, and damage.
• Provide routine information to visitors and residents.
• Record daily actions in the communication logbook.
• Maintain records of persons entering and leaving the facility.
• Ensure compliance with rules and regulations by all residents.
• Perform facility and perimeter runs throughout the day and evening.
• Report incidents to the supervisor and submit written reports as required.
• Ensure compliance with fire regulations and document incidents in the logbook.
• Restrict access to unauthorized guests and areas of the facility.
• Display agency core values at all times.
