About The Position

As a Security Guard - Auto Center - Full Time in Fremont, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment at a prominent automotive location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. You will interact with employees, visitors, and guests, providing exceptional customer service while upholding access control protocols. Your ability to communicate clearly and your comfort using technology such as computers or tablets will contribute to your success in this dynamic role. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or incidents encountered during patrols.
• Communicate clearly with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management as required.
• Document observations, incidents, and actions taken during shifts according to site protocols.
• Assist with access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas on the property.
