Job Description As a Security Guard - Art Gallery Patrol in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic cultural institution, helping to deter security-related incidents while creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. You will conduct regular patrols throughout the location, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible security-related presence.
Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or incidents as per Allied Universal protocols.
Support the cultural institution's operations by assisting with access control, crowd management, and providing information or directions to guests as needed.
Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and maintain a welcoming environment for all visitors.
