As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication. You will deliver a professional customer service approach while supporting a caring culture built on integrity, teamwork, and reliability, bringing an agile and innovative mindset to every shift.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Operate at an armed patrol post, maintaining required licensing and weapon handling standards while conducting duties in a professional manner.
• Screen individuals and property at designated entry points using security-related screening equipment and established access control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and coordinate with site leadership and/or public authorities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity per post orders.
