Requirements

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate de-escalation techniques.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related issues.
Monitor for suspicious activity and report any concerns to the appropriate authorities or Allied Universal management.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
Assist with access control, verifying identification and credentials as needed for entry into restricted areas.
Document incidents, observations, and actions taken in detailed and accurate reports according to Allied Universal procedures.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required, following established protocols.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or security-related situations, including those requiring an armed response.
