About The Position

This position exists to protect life and property of all persons on hospital premises and to police hospital grounds to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism. Additionally, the role involves ensuring boilers are attended on a regular basis and logged in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• High School graduate or equivalent
• Must be capable of handling a firearm
• Must obtain a commissioned Security Officer license
• Will be required to obtain a high pressure boiler license after 6 months of on the job training
• Good verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with patients, staff, visitors, and administration
• Must not be actively engaged in the use of medical marijuana, even if in possession of a valid medical marijuana card, due to the "safety sensitive" nature of the position
