As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients at utility locations by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns according to site protocols.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as needed during emergency situations or incidents.
Support access control procedures by verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors at the utility location.
