About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Transportation Station Rover in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transit location, you will conduct routine patrols across assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm professionalism. You will provide strong customer service and clear communication while documenting activity and supporting site procedures. This post requires an armed guard card or license and a commitment to integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • Baton permit is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols on a regular and random basis throughout assigned areas, including buildings, platforms, and perimeter spaces, as required by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, reporting, and coordination with site representatives and/or local law enforcement.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, check identification and/or credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry and prohibited activities.
  • Complete detailed shift documentation, incident reports, and activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines and site-specific requirements.
