About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Government Site in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. This armed position offers the opportunity to work as part of a team that values reliability, agility, and integrity while putting people first.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being able to use handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
Possessing an armed guard card or license is preferred.
Having CPR certification is preferred.
Having pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns within the government location.
Assist with access control by verifying identification and granting entry to authorized individuals.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs of all activities, incidents, and observations during assigned shifts.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during critical events.
Operate and maintain assigned security-related equipment, including firearms, in accordance with company policies and training.
