Requirements

• Must possess an active Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
• Must have a valid armed guard card or license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas to support client protocols.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences within the location.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and client representatives regarding incidents and/or concerns.
• Assist with emergency evacuations and provide guidance to employees and visitors as directed by site procedures.
• Participate in ongoing training and maintain all required certifications for armed patrol duties.
