About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Mobile Patrol in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location as an armed patrol officer, helping maintain a welcoming environment through routine patrols, high visibility presence, and clear communication with tenants, visitors, and property teams. You will respond to incidents, document security-related activity, and support access control and emergency response as needed. Requirements

• Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Have an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associates degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and perimeter points, documenting observations and reporting maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, monitoring deliveries and contractors, and directing visitors according to site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and requesting assistance from supervisors and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Carry and handle assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, licensing requirements, and post orders, completing required reports for incidents, patrol activity, and unusual occurrences.
