As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor access and patrol residential areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local laws and regulations.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Must be a graduate of Public Safety Academy
Must possess a degree in Criminal Justice
Must have experience in Law Enforcement / Corrections
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to residential community entrances and exits, verifying credentials of residents, guests, and vendors as required by site-specific policies.
Provide customer service by assisting residents and visitors with inquiries and directions related to the location.
Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site-specific protocols, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential community and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed in response to incidents at the location.
Operate communication devices and security-related equipment as required by site-specific procedures.
