As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy transportation location, you will conduct routine driving patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related issues, and respond to incidents with calm, professional communication. You will document observations, support access control, and assist team members while delivering customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2+ years' law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience is required.
  • An armed guard card/license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a transportation location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of rail property, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter fencing, noting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or unsecured areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Control access for employees, contractors, and visitors by checking identification, logging entries, and/or conducting security-related screening consistent with site requirements.
  • Complete detailed activity and incident reports, maintain required armed post documentation, and support investigations by preserving observations and relevant information.
