About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Telecom Sector in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• Hold an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the technology-focused business and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to sensitive areas.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors regarding security-related protocols.
• Document and report all security-related incidents and/or suspicious activities according to site procedures.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when required.
• Remain alert to potential risks and/or threats to people, property, and company assets in a technology and media environment.
