About The Position

As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Security Clearance in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location, you will patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine rounds, document observations, support access control, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. Requirements

• An armed guard card/license is required.
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to on-site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology facility.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate contacts and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or suspicious conditions.
• Control access at doors, gates, and/or vehicle entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries according to site procedures.
• Operate and monitor security-related systems such as access control, CCTV, and alarm panels, and complete required reports, logs, and shift handoffs.
