As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and first aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the retail location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing conflict resolution skills as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any unusual situations.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain a visible Allied Universal presence throughout the location to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and/or any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Assist with crowd management and/or access control during busy periods or special events as required by site-specific protocols.
