About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol License Cardholder in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by following security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, applying conflict resolution techniques when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any irregularities.
  • Monitor access points and identify any unauthorized individuals and/or suspicious activities, taking appropriate actions within the guidelines provided.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences identified during patrols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and other emergency personnel as required by site protocols.
  • Operate and maintain assigned security equipment, including firearms, in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific regulations.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related threats and communicate observations in a timely manner to the appropriate personnel.
